Login isn't working
What to check when you can't sign in to Kimpton: invitations, email verification, Slack sign-in approval, and how to reach support.
This page is public on purpose. If you can't sign in, you can still read it.
Work down the list. The first three causes account for most sign-in problems.
Check the email address you're using
Kimpton accounts are tied to one exact address. Signing in with a different one (a personal address, or an alias that forwards to the same inbox) creates a separate account rather than signing you in to the existing one.
Use the address you signed up with. If you were invited to join an existing organization, use the address the invitation was sent to; a different address won't inherit that access. Not sure which it was? Ask whoever invited you, or contact support@kimpton.ai.
Verify your email address
If your email address hasn't been verified, sign-in stops with an error rather than letting you through. Look for a verification email from Kimpton, including in spam and quarantine folders, and click the link in it.
If the verification email never arrived, contact support. We can re-send it or verify the address directly.
If you were invited, check the invitation is still open
Invitations expire. If yours has, sign-in will fail even with the right address. Ask an administrator in your organization to send a fresh one.
If you were removed from an organization, or your organization's access lapsed, sign-in may succeed while the app shows no workspace. That's an access problem rather than a login problem. Contact support.
You don't have an account yet
Sign-up is open. You don't need an invitation. Go to kimpton.ai, create an account and choose a plan. An invitation is only needed to join an organization someone else already set up.
"Request admin approval" when signing in with Slack
If you clicked Sign in with Slack and Slack showed a request admin approval screen, your Slack workspace requires administrator approval for new apps.
This only affects linking Slack for notifications. It does not block signing in to Kimpton itself. Sign in with your email address as usual, and ask your Slack workspace administrator to approve the Kimpton app so you can link Slack later.
Sign-in loops, or returns you to the login page
If sign-in appears to succeed but sends you back to the login page, you usually have a stale session. Try, in order:
- Sign out fully, then sign in again.
- Open Kimpton in a private or incognito window.
- Clear cookies for
kimpton.aiand retry.
Kimpton retries this automatically once before clearing the session for you, so a second attempt often succeeds on its own.
Still stuck
Email support@kimpton.ai and include:
- the email address you're signing in with
- what you see: the exact error text, or a screenshot
- roughly when you tried
- whether it has ever worked from this browser
That's enough for us to find the attempt in our logs and tell you what happened.
