Data connections
Find data your firm has shared, or connect a source as an admin.
Members: Open Vault → Data Catalog to see available connected files and tables. Select a source there or reference it in New Agent. If a source is missing, check your organization and ask an admin whether it has been connected and shared with you.
Owners and admins: Open Settings → Integrations → + Connection or Vault → Data Catalog → Add connection. Choose the source, authorize it, set its scope, and confirm its status is Healthy. Data connections require a paid plan. See Who can connect.
In New Agent, use the + menu to select an Amazon S3 connection when you want to use its Data Catalog. The menu shows only connections you can access.

Scope each connection to what Kimpton should use. For Snowflake, Kimpton catalogs table structure and reads allowed rows on demand; it does not copy entire tables into the catalog. Brokerage accounts and market-data providers use different connections.
If a connection says Review, Degraded, or Reconnect, see Connection troubleshooting. Check a source's date before relying on it in research.
