Create a workflow
Draft, review, test, and publish a repeatable task.
Open Workflows. You can describe a task to Kimpton, start from a template, or choose a blank workflow. All three create a draft. A draft does not run automatically.
Try a general request: "Each weekday morning, summarize new information about the portfolio I choose and save the result for me to review." The draft is a starting point; check what Kimpton selected.
- Check the start. Choose a schedule or event, and narrow its scope. See Triggers.
- Check the sources and prompt. Make sure Kimpton can access the portfolio or document you intended. State the period and desired output.
- Check delivery. A Notify block sends a saved result. Review every recipient and channel. See Delivering results.
- Run now as a test. Inspect the output and source dates. A test does not send to the configured recipient list.
- Publish only after the result and estimate make sense. A published workflow starts on its configured trigger.
If your workflow uses a specialist block, check its availability. Some reports cannot run on a schedule even if the builder shows a trigger block. Ask your account team if the release is unclear.
